Activate Okta FastPass as an eligible verification option

Require biometric or passcode verification for Okta FastPass enrollment and turn off push number challenge in ZeroTek.

This procedure sets Okta FastPass to require a device passcode or biometric verification at enrollment, and turns off number challenge for Okta Verify push notifications.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

This procedure assumes you have completed the steps in Configure the global session policy for the user group that will use Okta FastPass.

Steps

  1. In ZeroTek, select the target org in the Organizations menu, then navigate to Policies > Authenticators tab.

  2. For Okta Verify, click the pencil icon to edit.

  3. In the Verification options area, make sure Okta FastPass (All platforms) is selected.

  4. In the Enrollment options area, leave the default Any method.

  5. In the Device passcode or biometric user verification area, beside Enrollment, click Required.

  6. Under Okta Verify number challenge, select Never, then click Save. Okta FastPass replaces push as the primary verification method, so number challenge is no longer needed.
