One or more users attempting to log in to Microsoft 365 receive an error similar to the following:
Office 365 Login Failure: Your account has not been configured for this application. Please contact your Okta administrator and ask them to import your account from Active Directory.
Cause
The most common cause is that the user's ImmutableID value is missing or does not match the ImmutableID already present in their Microsoft user profile in Entra ID. Users must have an ImmutableID in Entra ID before being imported into Okta.
Resolution
Depending on whether the affected users have already been imported into Okta, follow the appropriate procedure:
Users not yet imported into Okta β see Identify cloud-only M365 users without the ImmutableID attribute and set one for each.
Users already imported into Okta without an ImmutableID β see M365 users imported without ImmutableID cannot access M365.
